Farah is an artist, a director, an editor and a creative powerhouse.
With roots at the prestigious USC Film School, her career began early on. At the tender age of 17, Farah entered the world of high fashion as a model and actress. Traveling the globe, she quickly began working with some of the best directors in front of the camera, but found herself enthralled with what was occurring behind the camera.
This prompted Farah to study film at the University of Southern California. While still a student, she became a highly sought after editor, cutting projects such as Clive Barker's Hellraiser:Resurrection. Her early editing success grew, cutting for all the major labels, as well as becoming a personal editor to Mariah Carey and Prince .
Taking notice of Farah's rising star, Sunset Edit sought to represent her. She is their only female editor and is currently editing an array of projects ranging from music videos to television and documentaries.
Her eye for editing is strengthened by her talents as a director, compelling the industry to take notice of her. Billboard magazine showcased Farah's debut music video (S.H.C. ìProducts of Diseaseî) and selected her as one of the Top Ten up and coming directorial talents. The same music video was selected to be in numerous film festivals across the country, screening with the works of directors such as Mark Romanek, Roman Coppola and Floria Sigismondi .
Farah was also chosen as the winner of The Turkey Shoot music video contest. Her treatment was selected from hundreds of submissions, and as a result, she shot The Oranges Band ìFinns For Our Feetî music video. This video also went on to screen at numerous prestigious festivals around the country.
Farah's entry into directing short films and documentaries has also met with success. Sundance acquired Dropped, a documentary exploring the underbelly of the music industry, of which Farah was one of 8 directors to contribute a segment. This film is now released through Netflix.
